Train Like an Animal Trainer

The diving response in mammals
Træn som en dyretræner. Dyretræner står med sin fløje i munden og en godbid i hånden.

Learn to train animals (and humans) like our animal trainers every Thursday at 2:00 PM during the summer holiday (June 28 – August 10)

How do you teach a seal to open its mouth on command? Or a porpoise to find food using sound? The answer lies in a method that is simple but requires training: positive reinforcement.

It’s not about forcing, but about inviting: Animals only participate in the training if they want to. When they choose correctly, the behavior is rewarded – with a treat, praise, or something else they like.

At Train Like an Animal Trainer, you will gain insight into how to work with wild animals such as harbor seals and porpoises – but also into how the method can be used in completely different contexts. Maybe even at home. Along the way, there is plenty of time to ask questions, and nothing is too small or odd.

Welcome to the presentation Train Like an Animal Trainer, which is about the abilities of animals – and our own way of being with them.
